2025 ERASMUS

The first week was full of excitement. Legnica Well, the city slowly became my home over the
was a small but wholesome place. There was a next months. I was having the best time,
shopping mall in the center and lots of other basically living with my best friend in the same
shops, bakeries, and some bookstores too. I still dormitory. He was the cook, and I was the moral
miss the donuts and sweets from the bakery support team. And yeah, after lots of pastas,
Hert. It was affordable and delicious, a small and sometimes pizzas, divine sandwiches, and
precious place to chill. We accidentally heavenly cheesy toasts, it’s safe to say he’s good
discovered a pizza place and a food truck, which at cooking.
have now become tasty memories. There was a
big and gloomy church in the center as well; at I really miss Legnica and my life there. It
night, it looked very scary, like something from suddenly became a very special place for me. I
a movie. Our dormitory was 5 minutes from the hope I can visit the city again in the future, after
center, and there was a huge park nearby. When sipping champagne on the plane with my bestie,
I first visited the park, it was hard to find my of course.
way out; it felt like a labyrinth, but I learned my
way after a while. When I was alone, it was my
painting and relaxing destination. We also had a
lot of picnics there with my friends.

The university was also close to the center, 15 to
20 minutes at most. The professors and our
classmates were lovely. The classes and the
        educational environment were very different
from ours, though. I mostly took literature
classes at my home university, but here we had
lots of business, pedagogy, and psychology-
related courses. I did like most of the new
courses. After the classes started, my friend and I
        signed up for a gym.

I started taking yoga and Zumba lessons, which I
had always wanted to join. It was nice to join the
locals and get to know some of them. I miss my
sassy Polish Zumba aunts. It was nice to see Wroclaw
people of their age having fun freely. Well, I
guess in my culture, I don’t often see people
their age having fun like that. I also took some
hip-hop classes for a while with my friend, but
I’m not really a dancer, except in clubs, yes, but
        not a dancer.

When it comes to partying, well, there isn’t
much in Legnica, but Wroclaw is the savior. You
can go by train, which takes 40 to 50 minutes,
and you’re good to go. Unlike Legnica, Wroclaw
is very alive, both day and night. There are lots
of bars and clubs to enjoy. We visited there
almost every weekend, and it was worth the
journey. The Old Town was full of street
musicians, sometimes dance shows, and other
street performances. And my favorite: the candy
shop. Oh my God, it was heaven for sweet tooths Legnica
        like me.
