or even a single letter can convey a big message. Let’s dive into some of their go-to words and emojis,
along with what they actually mean.

Dictionary
No cap – Emphasizes honesty; means “no lie.”
Sheesh – Exclamation for surprise or excitement.
Stan – A devoted fan; comes from “stalker fan.”
Periodt – A strong way to end a statement
definitively.
Lowkey – Subtly or quietly; not drawing
attention.
Highkey – Obviously or openly; the opposite of
“lowkey.”
Extra – Over-the-top or dramatic.
Sus – Short for “suspicious,” indicating something
shady.
Slay – To do something extremely well or look
amazing.
Bussin – Very good, especially for delicious food.
IYKYK – “If You Know, You Know,” referencing
an inside joke.
FOMO – “Fear of Missing out.”
FR – “For real,” emphasizing sincerity.
Rizz – The ability to charm or flirt effectively.
Bet – Used to affirm or agree, like “okay” or
“sure.”
Based – Speaking truth or being confidently
unapologetic.
Finna – Short for “fixing to,” meaning “about to.”
On fleek – Perfectly done or on point.
Ghosting – Suddenly cutting off communication
without explanation.
Lovebombing – Showering someone with
excessive affection or attention, often as a
manipulation tactic.

(Face with Tears of Joy) – Used to indicate laughter; “I’m dying laughing.”
(Skull) – Another way of saying “I’m dead,” meaning something is extremely funny.
(Exploding Head) – Mind-blowing, shocking, or incredibly surprising.
(Hundred) – “Keep it 100,” staying real or expressing strong agreement.
(Face Vomiting) – Extreme disgust or negativity toward something.
(Smiling Face with Sunglasses) – Cool, confident vibe or approval.
(OK Hand) – “Perfect,” “that’s lit,” or total satisfaction.
(Raising Hands) – Celebration, excitement, or “praise.”
(Pleading Face) – A cute, begging expression; can also mean “pretty please.”
(Nail Polish) – Unbothered, “I’m above it all,” or showing off confidence.
