2025 ERASMUS
We landed at Warsaw Airport and figured out
how to get to our Airbnb. We planned to stay in
Warsaw for two days to explore the city before
settling into our dormitory in Legnica. It was
our treat to ourselves after a very long, boring
and tiring summer. I remember a boy who
helped us use the public bus and even paid for
our tickets, which was a kind gesture, especially
when we were lugging around two giant
suitcases. Finally, we found our Airbnb, and after
a quick rest, we went out to explore the city,
followed by a dinner and a quick drink.
The next day was amazing, we visited some
churches, a grand palace, and the old town. It
was surreal. The quieter parts of the city were
full of life and peace. The locals and tourists
were just chilling at restaurants, drinking, and
having fun.
After our mini-vacation in Warsaw, we took the
train to Legnica. And there it was, my home for
the next months. It is a new chapter in my life
that I’m so grateful for. Although it was
challenging at times to adjust to living alone and
being far from home, I had never felt so free. It
was scary to realize that I was completely on my
own, but that fear also came with a sense of
excitement. I’m so lucky to have shared this
journey with my best friend. We were always
there for each other while making the best
memories.
So, my Erasmus journey began like
this, it’s one of the happiest memories
of my life. A new chapter where I
learned new things about myself, the
world, people, and life itself…
